Join us in a timely conversation about the treatment of women in leadership.
Within the past few months, we have heard many stories of sexual violence experienced by women in various industries.
Sexism and gender-based violence in politics, however, remain a rarely discussed issue; even when we have these conversations, we fail to acknowledge the effects of intersectionality on how marginalized women in positions of power often experience higher rates and different forms of violence.
At this event, we hope to diversify the discourse around women's civic engagement and leadership by addressing how racialization and discrimination shape their experiences.
We will be joined by TDSB Trustee Ausma Malik, and student leader Masuma Khan.
Please RSVP through Eventbrite.
