Framing Our Future: Challenging Islamophobia

  • Centre for Social Innovation - Spadina 192 Spadina Avenue Toronto, ON, M5T 2C2 Canada (map)

Join us for brunch on Saturday, April 13, 2019 as we challenge Islamophobia by celebrating two amazing Muslim women in leadership.

Despite facing multiple barriers in entering leadership positions, Muslim women continue to challenge stereotypes and change how we perceive civic engagement every day. From running for office to activism, Muslim women are pushing the envelope for meaningful inclusion and authentic leadership everywhere.

Speakers:
Sidrah Ahmad from Rivers of Hope - Resources for Survivors of Islamophobic Violence
MPP Rima Berns-McGown

Please note that the funds from all ticket sales will go toward venue rental and food costs. $5 from each ticket sale will go to Rivers of Hope - Resources for Survivors of Islamophobic Violence
